Artifact – Augmented Reality App
On the occasion of the Old Masters exhibition “Crossing Parallels. Agostino Carracci and Hendrick Goltzius” (9.12.20 – 02.05.21), a free Augmented Reality App “Behind the Art” was designed in collaboration with the Game Technology Center ETH Zurich with the support of LGT Private Banking. The app supplements the exhibited art works with multimedia information such as texts, images, audio and videos, animations or special effects, presented to the visitor in an interactive and playful way. The application is based on a cloud-based platform on which a user-friendly web editor enables developers and museum curators to design experience offers for the artworks independently.
